the battery in my FiiO uBTR bought in 2019 finally died - it died in such a way that the full USB 5V is going straight into the pcb, so it gets really hot when charging even from a computer USB port; it turns on momentarily but OCP kicks in and it shuts down
if only there was something like this that ran on an AA battery or similar...
